I’m really hoping her tracklist doesn’t only include songs from Joanne, because I want to relive my high school days with some of her hits from The Fame and Born This Way.
In anticipation of Lady Gaga’s halftime show performance, I’ve decided to feature this amazing watercolor painting by Russian artist Evgenie. Inspired by the album cover for Joanne, this fan art reminds me of Francesco Primaticcio’s Double Head.
Guys, I’m totally drooling over that black gown Lady Gaga wore with rose print at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year.
It has this sort of edgy elegance to it that I just love. I don’t have too many long dresses in my closet, but this is something I’d totally buy if I came across it in a store.
My parents have just moved out to Long Island, so this weekend when I went to visit them I tagged along for some furniture shopping.
At Bob’s Furniture in Farmingdale, I saw these hilarious celebrity inspired cat paintings on a children’s bed. One cat is Lady Gaga with the blond bow hair, another is Pharrell with the infamous brown hat and I believe the last one on the left is Miley Cyrus. I didn’t want to touch the paintings (since I wasn’t buying them) to see the Miley one better but I’m 99.9% sure it is supposed to be the cat version of her.
I’m actually tempted to get the Lady Gaga one but it doesn’t match my purple and gray room that I’m decorating here.
I still found a few things to smile about during the month of September. Let’s try to forget all this sad love nonsense and focus on the fun stuff in pop culture and entertainment from September 2016:
I had way too much fun watching the 58th Grammys on Monday night!
From the fashion to the presenter monologues, the show was definitely one to watch. LL Cool J hosted with his LL broach on the lapel of his suit jacket and several pieces of blindingly sparkling rings on his fingers.
Anyway, here were the performances that got me off the couch and on my feet throughout the evening.
1. Lionel Richie Tribute Medley, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Tyrese and others
You know you were alive before the new millenium when you get uber excited about hearing “Hello” and “Brick House.” I also really loved the suit Demi Lovato wore for her portion of the performance.
2. “I Can’t Feel My Face” and “In the Night” by The Weeknd
Gotta love seeing this crazy haired man perform!
3. “Love Yourself” and “Where Are U Now” by Justin Bieber
Loved the acoustic version of “Love Yourself.” Not sure how I feel about that cheetah jacket on the Biebs, though.
4. David Bowie Tribute Medley, Lady Gaga
Can we just stop for a second to appreciate how much effort she put into the aesthetics of this performance?! They couldn’t have picked a better person to do this tribute. Also, that robot keyboard is too cool.
5. “El Taxi” by Pitbull
Two words: SOFIA VERGARA. Boy, does Pitbull know how to close a show!
January 2016 was a roller coaster. Between celebrity deaths, award shows, and couples reuniting, I’m amazed I was able to keep up!
My list of news articles was way too long for this favorites post, so I selected the best few to share with you guys. I also had a great time picking music this month, and all of my favorite shows are slowly coming back from their hiatus, which means more episode favorites!
Here are my favorites for the month of January.

1. RIP David Bowie. He and Iman are such a photogenic interracial couple. My heart goes out to her.
You can’t blame Leonardo DiCaprio for flinching like that at the 73rd Golden Globes on Sunday after seeing Lady Gaga’s ginormous hourglass hips sashay passed him.

I mean, come on—they look like 18th century side hoops turned pillow cushions!
Regardless, Lady Gaga looked stunningly vintage in a black off-the-shoulder dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and train. The dress was custom made for the Lady by Versace.
Her Neil Lane jewels and platinum blonde hair completed the Marilyn Monroe look. The cuff bracelets she wore have a very classy rocker-punk vibe to them.
I love the way she mixed vintage and modern to make this look her own. Below are some items similar to what she wore that Sunday night, and should you dare to recreate the hourglass hips, I suggest an actual pair of side hoops for the occasion.
Now, I’m aware that flowers are the last thing that come to mind when it’s almost the third week into winter in NYC, but we’re making an exception for today’s Gallery Mondays.
I saw “Balloon Flower,” a balloon-shaped, stainless steel sculpture of a flower, while headed to the 9/11 Memorial Museum with a friend in December. Jeff Koons, the same artist behind the blue gazing ball on Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP album cover, created the sculpture.
The sculpture is part of Koons’ collection called Celebration. He has also created the same sculpture in yellow, blue, magenta, and orange. This red one sits in front of BMCC’s Fiterman Hall in the middle of a fountain.
See the blue version of “Balloon Flower” and the rest of the pieces from Celebration over on Jeff Koons’ website.
November 2013 was a pretty exciting month in NYC because Lady Gaga had decided to have an ARTPOP Pop Up Gallery in the Meatpacking District for three days to celebrate the release of her then upcoming album.
I visited the gallery along with a coworker, and we had such a good time taking pictures in the photo booth and playing the new Just Dance featuring “Applause” (I was terrible at it!).
The gallery was filled with Koons balls, photographs from the album, walls covered in lyrics, and some of Lady Gaga’s finest music video costumes.
I love the “Hands Bra.” It’s my second fave costume in the ARTPOP music video (first is the seashells!). I’d never dare wear it myself, though.
February was short, but it most definitely wasn’t short on entertainment and pop culture news. This month had the some amazing TV episodes and music, making me extremely excited about what’s to come in later on this year!
Here are my favorite things in pop culture and entertainment for the month of February:
2. Lady Gaga is engaged! To all the men who feel pressure to buy a ring just as amazing as the one Taylor Kinney got for Lady Gaga, well…I don’t know what to tell you…
3. #TheDress. How did this even become a thing? And, more importantly, how can anyone be seeing white in this dress?!
6. “One Last Night” by Vaults. Another amazing song off the Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack. The violins. The emotion. My heart.
7. “What Kind of Man” by Florence + the Machine. What kind of man? A very masochistic one, Florence. Love the song, but the video is too much to handle. The concept was very well thought out, though.
1. Castle,“The Wrong Stuff”. This episode stars Jane By Design‘s Ben (Jane’s older brother, played by David Clayton Rogers) and he’s uber serious on Castle, which was both interesting to see and hard to get adjusted to.
2. New Girl, “Spiderhunt”. I feel you on that spider fear, Schmidt. And Nick with Cece?! No. NO. NO.
3. Pretty Little Liars, “Bloody Hell”. How could Ezra just let Aria run free to kiss other guys? Like, excuse me, she’s yours! Stahp this madness!
4. The Mindy Project, “No More Mr. Noishe Guy”. The water break in the wall foreshadowed this pregnancy and it was a brilliant. Watching this unfold is going to be mind blowing.
