Do not pity me, dears, I’ve fully come to terms with the fact that I will have to celebrate my birthday while social distancing.
I thought it would be nice to post my birthday wishlist on the blog, as I’ve done for the last few years. As always, do not feel obligated to get me anything! A simple birthday message in the comments (or if you’re a personal acquaintance a text or message via social media) on May 20th will suffice!
But like seriously, none of these items on the wishlist are essential so do not feel pressured.

It’s time for another DSLR Diaries!
I had a blast being an amateur photographer during New York Fashion Week SS20. While I wasn’t prepared to take shots of moving models on the catwalk (didn’t know how to work the manual shutter speed), thankfully, I was invited to photograph the Kentina showcase backstage. So exciting!
I also went to two NYFW events, one at Micheal’s Luxury Consignment shop on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a blogger event at Ann Taylor on 5th Ave (thanks for the invite, Christina!).
I wasn’t able to take any photos at all during the Minika Ko showcase I went to at PH-D Lounge (the Penthouse rooftop at Dream Downtown) because it was so dark that my night mode setting was USELESS. I was able to get a decent video on my DSLR though, which you can see in this Instagram post.
Without further ado, enjoy DSLR Diaries a la fashion week:

When I found out that Living Coral is the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year, I was super ecstatic because its the perfect color for Valentine’s Day!
In addition to being the ideal color to wear for a romantic Valentine’s Day night out, Living Coral is super easy to pair with neutrals. You can either go super light on the coral pink side or get deep into it with a rusty coral orange. Below are a few of my favorite Living Coral dresses and skirts you can pair with a black, tan, or white sweaters, tops, and accessories.
Unique Vintage, $98.00
KOH KOH, $49.95
Forever 21, $14.90
Lindy Bop, $$35.00
Looking for a last minute Halloween costume to go out tonight in?
Chances are you have almost (if not everything) you need in your closet to dress up as Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex!
The outfit Meghan wore to the Commonwealth Day Service earlier this year can be easily replicated with a little blue or black dress, clutch bag, a white or cream-colored coat, and a beret.
Add that gorgeous smile and you’re good to go for Halloween 2018!
See below for items inspired by Meghan Markle’s look.

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards
red pink carpet was a hot mess.
From half-naked dresses to devil costumes (does Amber Rose realize it’s not even October yet?), the fashion looks I saw were a cry for help. Seriously, guys. This isn’t that hard. Wear a casual pantsuit if you can’t figure out what to hide your tatas and hooha with.
Regardless, most of the men looked SUPER (looking at you Maluma) and I’ll definitely give honorable mention to Camilla Cabello and sisters Chloe x Halle.
All of that aside, Ashanti won the night for me.
The singer showed up in a stunning silver number with not one but two slits. The gown was strapless with long sleeves and went beyond floor length.
This is the most leg I saw on the pink carpet without being basically naked, by the way.
I love how tasteful this look is. She shows off so much skin but still manages to leave enough to the imagination.
See below for two options inspired by Ashanti’s VMA dress!
1. DHGate, $164.81
2. Fashion Genie Boutique, $77.00
It’s been too long since I’ve done a Wardrobe Wednesdays post! I’m a bit rusty, so just bear with me.
Mila Kunis attended a Cosmopolitan party in New York City celebrating her cover last week in this amazing plaid ensemble. She wore a matching blazer and pant with blue and brown hues, sporting a tan-colored tank underneath.
I don’t think I’d be able to pull off this matching suit myself, but it looks so great on her! I do love an oversized blazer, and Mila Kunis makes it seem so effortlessly cool to wear on a petite frame with this look.
The original pants are completely sold out, but the blazer is still in stock (marked with *). Check out the links below for some other items inspired by this outfit!

Blake Lively is definitely on my list of celebrity style icons, and this outfit she wore to CinemaCon 2018 may have just boosted her to the top!
The actress wore a navy blue Sonia Rykiel blazer dress paired with graffiti Louboutin heels and a multicolored Brackish bow tie. The ensemble oozes preppy, which is a great look on her!
I think my favorite thing about the outfit is the bow tie. It ties the bold blue together with the busy graffiti on the heels.
Come to think of it, I haven’t worn a bow tie myself in quite some time. Now that the weather is warm, I think I’ll start wearing them again.
