Wardrobe Wednesdays: Jenna Dewan in Los Angeles

Jenna Dewan demin dress in LA

I’m going to try really hard to not think about the fact that Jenna Dewan isn’t wearing her ring anymore, in lieu of her and Channing Tatum’s heartbreaking separation ūüė•

The actress was spotted this week in Los Angeles wearing a simple denim midi dress paired with strappy black heels. The sleeveless dress would have looked super casual had it not been combined with those cute heels, in my opinion.

It’s been so long since I’ve owned a denim dress, and now I want one. If the weather in NYC would just hurry up and actually turn more spring-like, maybe I’ll get myself a denim dress to wear this season.

See below for the original dress (marked with *) and some other items inspired by Jenna’s look.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Charlotte McKinney in LA

Charlotte McKinney style fashion in Los Angeles

Charlotte McKinney was spotted on the streets of Los Angeles looking head to toe gorgeous in red and white.

The model wore a crisp white blouse with a pair of shiny dark red leggings and tan suede pumps. She carried a small red bag in hand as well.

Notice how Charlotte McKinney is wearing that white blouse. Like, damn, girl. If you got it, flaunt it.

I love the shininess of the leggings. They really add a different texture to the outfit and amp up the wow factor!

Gallery Mondays: “Jeweled Toad”

getty museum animalia David Webb, Jeweled Toad, New York, 1963, Hiro, dye imbibition print.

If you’ve seen my accessories collection, you’d know that I LOVE owls. I have an owl ring, several owl necklaces, an owl phone case…

The owl obsession is real.

So you can imagine back in fall 2015 while I was visiting the Getty Museum in Los Angeles how excited I got when I saw this adorable owl, part of the In Focus: Animalia exhibit.

A dye imbibition print, called “Jeweled Toad” is by Los Angeles based artist Hiro. The toad brooch was created by David Webb. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the original piece because there was no photography allowed in that particular exhibit, so the above photo is of promo poster outside of the hall. I have my ways.

Is it just me, or is this owl extra fluffy?! I just wanna reach out and ruffle its feathers!

I’d buy that toad brooch in a heartbeat (if it were affordable, and I doubt it is lol).

I just hope that brooch isn’t attached to the owl. That would be cruel.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Nina Dobrev @ ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ LA Screening

nina-dobrev-xxx-return-of-xander-cage-la-screening

Nina Dobrev made an appearance at the Los Angeles¬†screening of XXX: Return of Xander Cage¬†on Saturday wearing the most eye-catching Versace sweater I’ve seen this fall.

The middle and arms of the sweater have light pink and blue knitted patterns, the latter of which is brought out by the blue suede clutch bag that the Bulgarian-Canadian actress carried.

She took the opportunity to show off some leg with a faux leather mini skirt. If this doesn’t prove that pleather is the way to go then I don’t know what will.

See below for some of the original pieces (marked by *) and alternatives inspired by the look!

Our Boho Queen Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at the 7th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in LA looking absolutely radiant in a white scallop lace dress.

She completed the look with a pair of wine red platform sandals and a braided crown hairdo. Her cheeks looked blushed up with a rose pink tint as well.

I’ve never worn a white lace dress before, but if I ever do, I’ll be turning to Vanessa for some inspiration.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Kylie Jenner at The Nice Guy Restaurant in L.A.

Kylie Jenner, Nice Guy Restaurant in L.A.ntation

Kylie Jenner looks more and more like Kim Kardashian everyday with those lips and those cheekbones!

The 18-year-old was spotted with a friend outside The Nice Guy in Los Angeles wearing a long sleeved silk camouflage number by Versace and suede ankle wrap pumps.

I think Kylie is¬†really brave to go out in such a versatile piece that can double as a long jacket. She’s¬†got great legs, and she’s definitely not afraid to show them off.

You can order the same dress/jacket and pumps for yourself online (marked below with *) and I’ve also listed alternatives should they sell out.

Gallery Mondays: ‘Elevate’ by Joyce Dallal

Elevate, Joyce Dallal

Since everyone is going on spring break, I decided to pull this gem by Joyce Dallal from my camera roll.

I saw this piece at LAX on the way back from Los Angeles in September 2015. Called Elevate, Joyce Dallal uses paper airplanes to symbolize the departures that occur at the airport on a daily basis.

What I love most about the installation is the way it’s positioned. The paper airplanes are spiraling upwards in unison, almost as if they intend to fly straight out the window.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Lily Aldridge in LA

Lily Aldridge in Los Angeles

Oh, how I wish it were still jumpsuit weather in NYC…

Lily Aldridge stepped out in Los Angeles on February 8th in a tribal print jumpsuit featuring red, white, black, and tan colored patterns.

She topped off the look with a black designer bag and some comfy black strap sandals. I believe she met up with her husband for a meal at some point during the day, making this the perfect laid back brunch outfit.

You can shop the same jumpsuit and handbag Lily is wearing below (marked with *) and find some alternatives to the other items to complete the look.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Emma Roberts in LA

Emma Roberts in LA

Emma Roberts looked extra cozy in LA last week in a tan-colored chunky turtle neck cable knit sweater, blue jeans, gold studded booties, and brown sunglasses.

According to the Daily Mail, she saw a special someone (cough, Evan Peters, cough) on this little trip through LA, but I’m not clear as to whether she saw him before or after her visit to Urban Outfitters…

She also gave him a kiss!

Anyway, I LOVE the sweater weather look Emma is sporting, and I also really like the choice of footwear. Nothing says “cozy yet stylish” better than a some¬†extra golden studs and boot buckles!

The sweater is available at two online stores, and you can also find the boots¬†below (marked with *). I’ve also listed some similar jeans and sunglasses.

Gallery Mondays: ‘The Musicians’ Brawl’ by Georges de la Tour

IMAG3432

I saw this painting at Getty Museum while on vacation in California back in September. It’s starting to get pretty cold in New York so I’m missing that Cali weather again.

There’s a lot going on in French Baroque painter Georges de La Tour’s¬†The Musicians’ Brawl.¬†When I first saw it, I couldn’t help but laugh, not only at the subject of the painting but also at the note next to it from Getty Museum challenging visitors to strike a pose similar to one of the subjects in the painting.

The painting is supposedly depicting two musicians¬†getting into a fight, one trying to squeeze a lemon in the other’s eye while three other men watch it all go down. The man about to encounter the fierce burning acidity of a¬†lemon is blind, so that just makes the whole situation even more heartless. Also, the guy on the far left is the blind man’s guide. Isn’t he supposed to be helping instead of standing there with his jaw dropped?!

May the holiday bar fights begin?
