Fan Art Fridays: Roselyn Sanchez

image

National Hispanic Heritage Month began today, September 15! To celebrate, I’ll be posting fan art of Hispanic/Latino celebs all month long.

First up is actress Roselyn Sanchez. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I absolutely loved her as Carmen Luna on Devious Maids. Her character is basically like the one friend you need in your girl group to keep the gossip interesting.

Roselyn Sanchez is expecting a baby soon, and she just released a children’s book earlier this month called Sebi and the Land of Cha Cha Cha.

Enjoy this digital fan art I found of the actress over on Deviant Art by Ghanaian artist luxuryzz (Denzel Oduro).

He captured her smolder so well!

Fan Art Fridays: Prince William & Kate Middleton

This week we learned that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their third child, so I just HAVE to feature the royal couple for this week’s Fan Art Fridays!

Obviously I’m excited about this news, but some Brits aren’t :/

To celebrate, I found this life-like portrait of Will and Kate over on Deviant Art. Created by Soul of David (David Tercias) the digital piece was inspired by this photo of the two.

I just can’t get over how much hair William has lost since they started having children. Look at how full his hair was back then!

Fan Art Fridays: Happy Birthday, Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd turned 24 today! I didn’t even know how close we were in age.

After realizing today is her birthday, I had to do a quick search to see what she’s been up to lately. Turns out she hasn’t released a new song since 2016

Girl, get back on it!

Anyway, let’s celebrate the British singer with this fan art by @krisdraw23 on Instagram. Cher looks so innocent with her million of eyelashes, doesn’t she?

Fan Art Fridays: Katy Perry

Katy Perry’s new album Witness dropped today, and although some think it’s pretty terrible, I kinda liked it. A little.

“Chained to the Rhythm,” one of the singles on the album, is an instant fave for me. I absolutely loved the music video for it as well. In terms of non-singles, “Tsunami” and “Déjà Vu” are really great. I do agree that Katy Perry tried to stray from her playful self a bit too much on this album.

Regardless, Teenage Dream still holds the spot as my favorite Katy Perry album.

Enjoy this intense digital fan art of Katy Perry that I found over on Instagram. It’s by by Indonesian graphic artist Muhammad Lutfi (@mdlutfi057). I can’t get over how captivating her blue eyes are in this piece!

Anyone else kind of miss Katy Perry’s dark hair days?

See more of Lutfi’s amazing fan art on Instagram, and give Witness a listen.

Fan Art Fridays: Happy Birthday, Penelope Cruz!

Spanish gem Penelope Cruz is 43 today!

I guess she’s turning out to be one of those lucky people that age gracefully.

I’ve never watched any of her Spanish films, but I have seen her in Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, both in which she played very bold characters. Her performance always grabs your attention, and I think she’s really great at making characters that would otherwise seem unrelatable have somewhat of a likeability factor.

In celebration of Penelope Cruz’s birthday today, I’ve decided to feature this piece of digital fan art by Barry Weatherley over at artbybaz.com for this week’s Fan Art Fridays. That look on her face, man—I wonder how her husband Javier Bardem handles all of that hotness on a daily basis!

Fan Art Fridays: Saoirse Ronan

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

In honor of the Irish holiday, I thought it would be fun to feature some fan art of one of my fave actresses of Irish heritage, Saoirse Ronan!
I loved her so much in the film Brooklyn. A co-worker of mine got to see her in the play The Crucible, which I’m super jelly about.

This piece of fan art is by a fellow WordPress blogger Rizza Maruja. You can check out how she made this amazing polygon portrait of the Irish-American actress here!

Fan Art Fridays: Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep won the DeMille Award at the Golden Globes this year, and boy, was that one hell of an acceptance speech or what?!

I’ve loved Meryl in basically every movie I’ve seen her in, from Doubt to It’s Complicated. She’s timeless, and gives life to every character she plays.

In honor of her achievement, I’ve decided to feature this fan art of her from DeviantArt by Miko2660. She looks quite young in this piece of fan art, perhaps from the late ’70s. It was created using ArtStuido.

I love how she’s looking up in the piece, as if she’s in a state of utter bliss. Her hair also looks so wispy!
