Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
In honor of the Irish holiday, I thought it would be fun to feature some fan art of one of my fave actresses of Irish heritage, Saoirse Ronan!
I loved her so much in the film Brooklyn. A co-worker of mine got to see her in the play The Crucible, which I’m super jelly about.
This piece of fan art is by a fellow WordPress blogger Rizza Maruja. You can check out how she made this amazing polygon portrait of the Irish-American actress here!
Meryl Streep won the DeMille Award at the Golden Globes this year, and boy, was that one hell of an acceptance speech or what?!
I’ve loved Meryl in basically every movie I’ve seen her in, from Doubt to It’s Complicated. She’s timeless, and gives life to every character she plays.
In honor of her achievement, I’ve decided to feature this fan art of her from DeviantArt by Miko2660. She looks quite young in this piece of fan art, perhaps from the late ’70s. It was created using ArtStuido.
I love how she’s looking up in the piece, as if she’s in a state of utter bliss. Her hair also looks so wispy!

Leonardo DiCaprio turned 42 today, so I thought it would be fun to feature a piece of fan art I found of the actor in his younger years for this week’s Fan Art Fridays.
This digital fan art of 90s Leo was created by Kristin (kgpencil.tumblr.com) using SAI. It’s so realistic that I can feel his green eyes staring into my soul even more so than the original photo it was inspired by!

On my way home from work today, I discovered that the upcoming movie The Dark Tower starring Idris Elba is going to be filming in New York City’s Garment District this weekend.
This probably means that there’s a chance you’ll see Idris Elba in the area. Time to start flipping out!
Fingers crossed he’s in the scenes that they’ll be filming.
Because of this awesome news, I can’t stop thinking about Idris Elba, so I went ahead and found some fan art of him on Deviant Art. This digital portrait by dolgwol was inspired by his character on the BBC series Luther.
I think I have a thing for digital art that look like paintings.

Allegiant, the last film of the Divergent series, is out in theaters today.
As with all book series that become films, this is another bittersweet end to a great trilogy. I cannot wait to see what’s next for Shailene Woodley, who plays the main character Tris Prior.
I got a Fandango gift card at the end of last year that I cannot wait to use when I go see the film next week. The only reason I’m waiting until next week is because I want to get a good seat in the theater once the rush dies down!
I picked this piece of fan art of Tris Prior by Kim Beurre Lait on Deviant Art for this week’s Fan Art Fridays because I’m so amazed at how much it really looks like Tris. If looks could paralyze, this piece of fan art would have done it.

Almost exactly a year ago, PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) found this digital drawing a fan named Sofia made of him and his girlfriend CutiePieMarzia (Marzia Bisognin).
They look so real it’s scary!
Some fans commented that Marzia looks like a Disney princess (which she does, indeed). Sofia managed to get her eyebrows just right!
Marzia and Felix are on my list of favorite YouTuber couples that have been together for a very long time. Like, if they were to break up the world would end.
This Friday is the last Friday that falls during NaNoWriMo, so here’s your last fan fiction story. It’s an alternate version of how Felix and Marzia first met.
Enjoy, and watch a layer by layer presentation of how Sofia made the fan art!
