Fan Art Fridays: Spider-Man

The first official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is out, and of course, everyone is losing their cool.

I’m really excited that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is in it (and Zendaya too!) , but I’m really missing Andrew Garfield 😥

Anyway, in celebration of the trailer, here’s some fan art I found of Spider-Man looking totes casual. He’s all, “nothing to see here, just a teenager in a hoodie.”

I can’t decipher the signature on the fan art, which is sad, because I’d love to give them a mention for credits!

Fan Art Fridays: Lola Bunny

As if I needed another reminder as to how old I’m getting, Space Jam turned 20 this week.

How has it been 20 years already?!

In celebration, I’ve selected a piece of fan art I found on DeviantArt of Lola Bunny, the film’s sassiest character (in my opinion).

Called “Take It To the Hole,” Jessie J. Barboza (jbwarner) puts Lola Bunny in an underwater scene for his Underwater Babes of Toontown series. The expression on Lola Bunny’s face in the cartoon definitely makes this an intriguing piece of fan art. Why does she look so unimpressed while making this shot?

Fan Art Fridays: Natalie Portman

Today I found out that Natalie Portman is playing Jackie Kennedy in the new film coming in December called Jackie.

And oh-em-gee did the clothing design and hair and makeup artists do an amazing job at transforming her! I can’t handle how amazing the resemblance is.

Needless to say, I might actually go see the film in theaters.

For this week’s Fan Art Fridays, I decided to feature the actress in pop art form. This fan art was done by Mr-FunnyFace on Deviant Art.

Fan Art Fridays: Superman

Happy Good Friday!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters this wonderfully sunny day. As a result, Syfy is showing all of the Superman movies, which is totally cool with me.

Apparently the critics aren’t really loving Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . The negative reviews have been rolling in since Thursday afternoon.

Anyhow, I’ve decided to feature all three actors that have played Superman for this week’s Fan Art Fridays. Enjoy artist Sam Gilbey’s rendition of Christopher Reeves, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill as Superman!

Are you going to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this weekend? If you do, let me know what you think!

Fan Art Fridays: Tris Prior from the ‘Divergent’ Series

Allegiant, the last film of the Divergent series, is out in theaters today.

As with all book series that become films, this is another bittersweet end to a great trilogy. I cannot wait to see what’s next for Shailene Woodley, who plays the main character Tris Prior.

I got a Fandango gift card at the end of last year that I cannot wait to use when I go see the film next week. The only reason I’m waiting until next week is because I want to get a good seat in the theater once the rush dies down!

I picked this piece of fan art of Tris Prior by Kim Beurre Lait on Deviant Art for this week’s Fan Art Fridays because I’m so amazed at how much it really looks like Tris. If looks could paralyze, this piece of fan art would have done it.

What do you do on Valentine’s Day when it’s 21° F but feels like -10 ° F outside and you don’t want your Valentine to get frostbite?

Stay inside with a book or a movie!

Although his personal romantic life may be a bit of a mess right now, Nicholas Sparks is one of the most romantic storytellers of all time. His romances will warm your heart, whether in book form or on the flat screen TV in your living room.

So grab a blanket for two, a bottle of wine and cuddle up with your Valentine, because it’s time to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2016, Nicholas Sparks style. Here are four books and movies by the author that’ll put the sap in sappy romance.

1. The Last Song (2010)
Starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth as Ronnie Miller and Will Blakelee.
For those of you who miss the old Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth pre-Gale Hawthorne, this one is a must watch. Animal lovers reading the book or watching on screen will fall in love with the sea turtles they rescue on the beach.

elf buddy and jovi

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I stayed up last night watching Elf and felt obliged to post fan art from the movie because today’s Fan Art Fridays falls on Christmas!

This piece of fan art was done by illustrator Jim McHugh. I just love how cartoon-ish Buddy and Jovie look up a the North Pole. Jovie really looks like Zooey!

If you like this Elf fan art so much that you wish you could hang it in your room, then, you’re in luck because you can! Order the art from mcillustrator on Etsy with an added quote from the movie.
