Magic! Live @ Irving Plaza #FashionRocksFrontRow

IMAG0336

On Friday, August 29th, right before the Labor Day weekend festivities, a Canadian reggae-pop band decided to bring a bit of magic to the end of our summer.

The Magic! concert was powered by the new LG G3 at Irving Plaza. I am again in debt to 1iota for the tickets my friend and I acquired for the show.

Before the show began, we were able to take some really cool photos in front of the LG G3 billboard backdrop. Super cool stuff!

While we waited in front of the stage for Magic! to perform, DJ K Styles spinned some sassy beats for us. I was pleased to see a female DJ for a change.

At 2pm, it was time to get down with to some reggae with lead singer Nasri and the rest of the Magic! gang.

The band opened with “No Evil,” Nasri ending the song making an X sign with his arms.

Can I just say that Nasri has the most amazing pelvic movements the world has ever seen! He’s like, the Elvis of reggae-pop!

Nasri, can you take me clubbing in Canada? Is that a thing that can happen?

The rest of the set list included “Mama Didn’t Raise No Fool,” “Paradise,” “How Do You Want to Be Remembered,” and their upcoming single “Let Your Hair Down.”

Speaking of hair, Nasri has gorgeous locks. Brb, still swooning.

The girls got an extra special shout out hen the band performed a revamped reggae-tastic cover of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” They know what they’re doing, man.

The show ended with “Rude,” the song on everyone’s tongue this summer. Everyone went nuts in the crowd.

This was such an awesome way to end the summer. Thanks again for the tickets, 1iota!

Luckily, the concert was livestreamed, so you can watch it online here!
