My favorite day of the year has come again! I love going back through my favorites list to see which albums I listened to on repeat each year. I must say, 2023 had some great newbies (at least new to me) that I am so hyped to keep on my radar going forward.

On a quick side note, can someone please tell me why some of this year’s album covers were so risqué (looking at you Kim Petras and Troye Sivan)?

But I digress. Without further delay, here are my favorite songs, albums, and artists of 2023:

1. “Lifetime”, SG Lewis, AudioLust & HigherLove. Definitely one of my most-played albums this year.

2. “VAN GOGH”, METTE, METTENARRATIVE. I’m very excited to see what Mette does next. Easily my favorite emerging artist of 2023!

3. “Haute”, Janelle Monáe, Age of Pleasure. Listening to songs from this album in the car is always a conversation starter 😅

4. “Wings”, Jonas Brothers, The Album. So happy I FINALLY saw them live after a decade of being a huge fan!

5. “All She Wants (ft. Paris Hilton)”, Kim Petras, Problématique. So many good tracks on this album! It was hard to choose one song. 

6. “Love Goes On”, Ellie Goulding, Higher Than Heaven. Absolutely loved this album so much and will be dancing to it well into 2024.

7. “CHUCKY CHEESE”, Qveen Herby, THE MUSE. One of two Queen Herby masterpieces of this year.

8. “DAYDREAMER (ft. iyla)”, Qveen Herby, HOUSEWIFE. She earned two spots on this list! Hoping for more collabs from Qveen because this track was so fun.

9. “Chemicals”, Butter Bath, RUSHES. This track is such a Gotye vibe and I absolutely adore it.

10. “Yesterday”, Mel Blue, Sanctuary Point. I just can’t get over the genius minimalism in Mel Blue’s work.

11. “Now That We Don’t Talk (From the Vault)”, Taylor Swift, 1989 (Taylor’s Version). If you didn’t see on Instagram, I got this on vinyl from my fiancé 🤗

12. “Real Nice Moment”, KNOWER, KNOWER FOREVER. Real nice moment(s) all throughout this album.
