FashionMia Review

I’ve worked with a handful of brands through this blog over the last three years and never would I have imagined the ridiculousness that ensued while working with FashionMia.

FashionMia reached out to me in November 2017 about reviewing their clothing on my blog.

I was given a $50 credit to pick out a few items I liked from the site for this review. I ended up choosing four items.

I didn’t receive anything from the company until the beginning of January. It was the holiday season, so I wasn’t too peeved about it taking so long to arrive from China to New York.

But then I realized one of the four items—a burgundy blazer—wasn’t in the package I received. I contacted FashionMia to see what was up, and they said the notification system didn’t send me an email saying the item was out of stock, which would explain why it didn’t ship.

FashionMia decided to let me choose another item in place of the blazer, so I opted for a green dress. I asked if I could wait until the green dress arrived to write and film the YouTube video for my clothing review. They said yes, and assured me the dress would ship immediately. At the end of January, I got another email asking if I could post my review without having received my complete order. I was also told the green dress is out of stock.

Absolute insanity.

Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be ordering from FashionMia ever again.

Here’s a written review of the items I did receive:

Blouse: I love the light fabric and bird print on this blouse. It’s a super easy piece to match with a pair of jeans, and it’s very colorful without being too over-the-top.

Clutch Bag: I’m well aware that I shouldn’t overload this clutch bag with too many things because it might break, so I’m fine with the light material of this bag. I probably won’t use the strap much. Overall, this clutch is perfect for those who don’t need to carry too much around while on a night out. I do wish that the strap clasps weren’t so tedious to remove.

Dress: I’m not happy with the way this dress fits. The mock neck has stretched out a bit after trying on the dress twice. The chest area has an awkward fold that isn’t flattering.
