(NSFW) Men on Instagram Put Cocks in Socks for Testicular Cancer Awareness

2014-03-27_07-54-21-1Well, at least we know where the ladies will be headed for Man Candy Monday from now on!

In honor of Testicular Cancer Awareness, men on Instagram are taking photos wearing only a sock over their penises.

Hey, I’m not complaining!

The photos began to attract attention on March 25th, and some are considering #CocksInSocks a new meme.

The photos are also on their Facebook page and their Twitter.

For a couple of hours on Tuesday, Instagram actually blocked the hashtag. Thankfully, they unblocked it again, but some individual photos are blocked. Facebook has also been blocking a few of the photos.

Plenty of cocks in socks to go ’round, ladies!

Apparently the idea stemmed from the British nonprofit Cancer Research UK who raised more than $3.3 million with the #NoMakeupSelfie.

Although the #CockInASock hashtag currently isn’t raising any money, you can still donate to the Testicular Cancer Society here.

Just think of all the money these selfies would raise!

I found Trinidad Carney’s comment on a BuzzFeed article about the selfies very funny:

Successful fundraiser indeed!

Dior Homme – The Film featuring Robert Pattinson

Three things will be on my mind all day today: Robert Pattinson, Camille Rowe, and DIOR.

Robert Pattinson and French model Camille Rowe in the Dior Homme Fragrance Film

If you haven’t already heard, Robert Pattinson of the Twilight Saga is the new face of Dior Homme.

The official fragrance short film was released this weekend, and I don’t think I’ll be able to peel my eyes away from it for a while.

I think I’ve watched it about seven times in the past half hour alone. It’s just that amazing.

The black and white short film lasts just over a minute. Meaning if you keep watching it over and over again, this won’t be taking up too much of your time…

Right?

WRONG.

Dior leaves a link at the bottom corner of the video, leading viewers to the 1:46 uncensored directors cut.

Still think its not too much time?

Think again. You’re going to be tempted to click a new link on this directors cut, taking you to a behind the scenes video, and after that the link to the interview with Mr. Pattinson about the Dior Homme fragrance.

I’m not complaining. This is a lovely piece of work that director Romain Gavras has decided to share with the world.

I love the elegant sophistication of the romance in this short fragrance film commercial. It’s very raw, very real, and very impulsive. From the moment Pattinson walks into that dressing room with all those burlesque dancers, you can feel the sexual tension between he and Camille Rowe.

My favorite parts of the official film are the scene where Pattinson and Rowe are kissing under water and the scene where he chases her from a rooftop as she runs on street level.

In the directors cut, I realize that there was supposed to be an adorable little dance scene between Pattinson and Rowe in a French restaurant. I love the way Camille Rowe acts like a child, taking bites of food from strangers’ plates and eating it as she runs to the dance floor with Rob.

The music for this commercial happens to be “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin.

The part where he sings “I’m gonna send you back to schoolin’,” pretty much took this whole sexy French rendezvous to a new level. Brilliant song choice.

The interview with Robert Pattinson was particularly interesting to me.

And no, not only because his British accent is deteriorating (how sad though!), but because he actually had quite the intriguing commentary.

Rob mentions director Romain Gavras’ violent style, and how working with him is a pleasant change of scene from the acting gigs he’s known for.

I love this comment in particular:

“The Dior Homme man is someone who is just a little bit wild. […] He does whatever he wants. He’s a bit of a free spirit, not really scared of anything. He can kind of be whoever he wants to be at anytime.”

I don’t know, ladies and gentleman. What do we think of the Dior Homme man?

Enjoy Garvas’ creation in all its tension and sophistication, and be sure to watch the interview with the new face of Dior Homme.

Building in Beijing Shaped like Male Genitalia

KimmelYes, that’s Jimmy Kimmel holding a cardboard cutout of the new Beijing headquarters for China’s The People’s Daily.

The building will not be complete until May 2014, but people are already starting to notice it looks like more than just your average building.

The 500-foot building was designed by architecture professor Zhou Qi. His design beat out four others. I wonder why.

When asked about the design, Zhou Qi stated that the building is a reflection of the ancient Chinese philosophy of a round sky and a square earth.

Communist country that China is, they are trying to censor all mockery of this building’s design. On Weibo, the equivalent of Twitter in China, the government ordered that all images of the building be removed.

Even India is poking fun at the design. The Times of India wrote an article about the building, introducing it as “The new 150-meter tall headquarters of the People’s Daily, the main organ of the┬áCommunist Party….”

It doesn’t help that The People’s Daily is also known as The Raping People Daily for their false reports that mislead the people. They’re just embracing that nickname with the design of this building!

What myself and others fail to understand is how the men in the room didn’t look down at their pants before approving the building design and feel uncomfortable.

But then again, Asia is known for its controversial architectural designs. There’s the Gate of Orient in China that looks like a pair of underpants, and also the luxury buildings in Seoul, South Korea that look like the 9/11 explosion.

Kimmel did not refrain from making fun of the design on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live as he walked back and forth on the stage holding the cardboard cutout of the building at his crotch.

He even sent someone out to the streets of Hollywood to find out what the building would conjure in the mind of a child.

A kid took one look at the building and said, “Hmmm. That’s hard.”

Enjoy watching Jimmy Kimmel flaunt around the new addition to the backdrop on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
