‘My All-American:’ Show Support for Your Football MVP!

Last Wednesday I went to an advanced screening of My All-American starring Finn Wittrock as Freddie Steinmark. The film also stars Aaron Eckhart as Coach “Roy” Royal and Sarah Bolger as Freddie’s girlfriend Linda.

The film is based on the true story of college football star Freddie Steinmark, which is being told by Coach Roy forty years later as a reporter asks him who the best “all-American” football player was. She’s confused when Coach Roy says Steinmark, as he wasn’t “all-American” but she listens to what he has to say.

One thing I really admired about this film was the romance. Freddie and Linda were inseparable. She went to all his games and was super supportive of her MVP, even when life took its toll on their relationship. No matter what happened, she was always in the stands watching.
