After watching the heart-wrenching season 5 finale of USA’s Suits this week, I just had to dedicate this week’s Fan Art Fridays to Mike Ross.

Those of you that saw the episode, titled “Faith,” will understand.

I think this pencil crayon drawing by The Soulful Artist on Tumblr does Mike Ross justice.

As many of you may have already heard, Taylor Swift went cray this week when she found out Ryan Adams is covering 1989.

I’m pretty damn sure she was doing exactly what the GIF is playing right now.

In honor of the premiere of the music video for “Beautiful Now” by Zedd ft. Jon Bellion, I present to you none other than Visionary Music Group’s most prized possession.

Jon Bellion has a very distinctive face. I like his face. I also like his voice.

Lorde’s Birthday Wish and “Yellow Flicker Beat” Music Video

Today, Lorde turned 18!

Gosh, she’s so young.

Wondering what the singer wished for?

Less acne.

About 10 seconds into her big day, Lorde took to her Tumblr page, stating,

it’s midnight, and i’m all of ten seconds into being eighteen. the first thing that came into my head just now is that i thought i would have less acne at eighteen.. some things never change. lol. happy birthday me.

Girl, I feel your pain.

This isn’t the first time Lorde made a public statement about her acne problems.

In a comparison between two photos of the singer taken during a concert performance, Lorde took a stand for her imperfections.

“I find this curious — two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok :-)”

Lorde also has no shame in posting photos of her face covered in acne cream. She doesn’t try to hide her acne. She just wishes it weren’t there.

But I’m not gonna lie to you, girl. I’m 20 and I still have acne!

You just keep being you, and your fans see past your acne into your beautiful soul.

It also seems that Lorde likes to give on her birthday rather than receive.

The music video for The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack song “Yellow Flicker Beat” is finally here!

Woohoo!

Enjoy your day, Lorde!

And for the fans, enjoy her new music video for “Yellow Flicker Beat.”

This Week in Music: Troye Sivan’s First Ever Single “Happy Little Pill”

It has been a very exciting passed couple of hours for fans of South African/Australian YouTuber Troye Sivan.

His first single, “Happy Little Pill” from his upcoming album TRXYE dropped last night, and it is so freaking good!

The track has a certain element of light R&B. Combined with Troye’s smooth vocals, the song is definitely a crowd pleaser.

“I wrote this song during a bit of a rough time for someone super close to me, and for myself, and it still means as much to me as the day i wrote it, and i’m still as in love with it as the day i wrote it (which is rare for me!!). I couldn’t be prouder to be giving it to you guys today :’),” he wrote in the Tumblr post where he posted the Soundcloud link to the single.

I really love the songs instrumentals, especially the small bit of synth playing throughout the beginning and chorus that gives the song a breezy summer vibe. The song features some amazing imagery, in the hook before the chorus where he sings,

Tight skin, bodyguards
Gucci down the boulevard
Cocaine, dollar bills and…

Just pure brilliance.

This song will have to be our “happy little pill” until the release of TRXYE on Auguust 15th.

My question for Mr. Sivan is: will there be a music video to accompany this masterpiece?

Enjoy the song on Soundcloud.
