Tax Day is coming, so I thought I’d make it a bit less stressful with some street art I found at a gas station near the corner of Horatio St. and 8th Avenue in NYC.
The art seems to be a joint collaboration by popular graffiti artists Alec Monopoly and King Saladeen. As you probably have guessed, the depictions of the Monopoly man (Rich Uncle Pennybags) were done by Alec Monopoly. It still makes me laugh that his last name is connected to one of the main characters he likes to draw.
The bear is by King Saladeen. He’s got a little crown on his head so I’m assuming this whole artist name matching the artist’s drawings thing is pretty intense.
The one thing I really find interesting about this street art is the Monopoly man with a maze on his left shoulder. Are we supposed to find a way out?
