I hope this little old lady wasn’t waiting for a cab, because she’s got no free hands to flag one down!

Maybe she was waiting for a cab. That’s probably why she looks so upset and annoyed…

She also seems to have gotten a lot done. She got groceries, did a little shopping at Talbots. I see managing to get food and clothing shopping done in one day as a victory.

This sculpture, called Holding Out, was part of the Seward Johnson’s installation in the Garment District of NYC during the summer of 2015. I don’t know why, but this old lady was one of the sculptures I remember the most from that day I went to see them.
