Gallery Mondays: Walking Across the Brooklyn Bridge

tavola brooklyn bridge

Last week I went to Tavola on 9th Ave in NYC with some coworkers for our holiday party. On the wall near the window of the restaurant there was this lovely painting that looked like a photograph. I honestly would have went on thinking it was a photograph if I hadn’t gotten closer to it. Sadly, I have no clue who painted this.

The painting depicts a man wearing a brimmed hat and trench coat walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The man also carries a briefcase, causing me to believe he’s walking home from work.

Does anyone else think this might have been partially inspired by Mad Men?
