Converse has decided to give it’s renowned sneaker a makeover for the first time in almost a century. They’re going to be released to the public for purchase on July 28th, and a lot of Chuck Taylor fans are either excited or disappointed about the news.
Don’t fret though. You can still buy the older design, if you’d like.
Named The Converse Chuck II, the new design comes in red, white, black, and blue. They’ll cost you $75 for the high top and $70 for the low cut.
But, what’s so different about this new sneaker?
Apparently the outside will look almost the same, but the inside will be completely revamped with a padded tongue, perforated suede lining, durable canvas, and Nike’s Lunarlon foam.

I was expecting a totally new design for the outside of the shoe. I mean, come on. The design hasn’t changed since 1917, and this is all they’ve got?
I’m not going to be showing off the inside of my shoe! What’s the point?!
I will admit though, that Nike foam looks mighty comfy.
