Wreck This Tuesdays: 3

Last week, I promised you guys I would do some Wreck This Journal pages involving color-related wrecking. The below is the fulfillment of that promise, which I used both regular pencil and my colored pencils to complete.

Front & Back Jacket Flaps

So it seems we’re going backward here. I didn’t realize the back flap had a Wrecking This Journal Pledge on it. OOPS. Anyway, I filled that out for this week and also did the fun name exercises on the front flap. I might invest in a white gel pen or something to get the “Write your name in white” prompt to show more (it’s currently basically non-existent). I chose green for the “Write your name in a color you like” prompt even though my favorite color is yellow because I doubt the yellow would show properly. I do like green, though, just not as much as I like yellow. My favorite (and the most challenging) of these was writing my name backward. It took a lot of brain energy to get this done without messing up! Writing my name really tiny was also quite fun.

Coloring a Page Red

Fun fact: I like to shade things in lightly. I doubt shading lightly is a proper way to wreck (there goes my pledge), but I can’t bring myself to color this page any darker.

Scribbling on the Edges

This is my favorite prompt of all so far! I decided to write inspirational/uplifting words around the edges of my Wreck This Journal for my sake and the sake of anyone who sees it. I think it’s a nice little touch, especially on dreary days. The bottom says “Persevere,” the top says “Live & Love,” and the side says “Be Yourself & Be Confident.” I’ll admit, I smile a bit to myself every time I see my journal lying around.

See you next week with three more wrecked pages!
