Tomorrow is Election Day (finally) so I thought it would be fun to do something government related for today’s Gallery Mondays.
I saw this work of art resembling the U.S. Capitol at Robert Miller Gallery last year. It’s by Cuban art group Stainless and the piece is called Black Capitol (Capitolo Negro).
I found it fascinating that the canvas was painted with oil and polyester resin for this creation. It almost looks like a nicely decorated cake with all those raised ridges!
Learn more about Stainless here, and don’t forget to vote tomorrow if you’re able!
