Happy Tax Day, guys!

The first installment of Wreck This Tuesdays is finally here. If you’re considering getting a Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith with some of your tax return money, here’s a little preview, I guess.

I would have started this two weeks ago, but I kept forgetting to have some pages done by the time Tuesday came around. Twice. -_-

Anyway, here are the first three pages I’ve done from the color edition of Wreck This Journal (I will be completing pages in any order I so choose):

Holes

So I’m almost 90% sure that the pre-determined hole markings on the page aren’t binding, but the small neat freak inside of me says they are. I think the hardest thing about this activity book is going to be convincing myself that there are no rules.

Lines
I never make lines this straight on a normal day, but they managed to look decent here. I didn’t even use a ruler. What even! I liked making the fat lines by pressing hard because I was able to see just how dark the pencil mark will appear with varying pressures. Also, peep the previous page’s holes lol.

Scribbles
More like squiggles? Are these considered scribbles? Does it matter? This page was the most fun for me so far. I did this scribble/squiggle without taking the pencil off the paper, which I’m not even sure was on purpose. I really like the way it came out, and it was quite therapeutic to let my hand do whatever it wanted!

These three pages seemed less reckless than most of the others I’ve glimpsed at in this journal. Honestly, used to draw lines and scribble (or squiggle) all over my notes in class as a kid and undergrad student, so that didn’t make me feel like I was destroying anything. The page with the holes made me cringe, though.

So, an important question for those of you seasoned wreckers:
Am I supposed to wreck both sides of the page?
