Step aside, LBD, the little white dress is comin’ for ya.
On September 9, Emma Roberts attended the premiere of her new film Who Are We Now at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.
She posed for pics on the red carpet wearing a cute collared mini dress in white paired with a beige top handle bag and embellished black pointed toe heels.
What makes me love this outfit the most is the fact that she mixed all these neutral colors together. I could never pull that off!
I also really like the sleeves of the dress. Without the bell sleeves the look would be way too serious!

I’m not gonna lie, August 2017 was pretty fun.
As expected, some amazing tunes were released during the month. I had to cut my list down or else this monthly favorites would be basically all music.
Here are my favorites in pop culture and entertainment for August!

It’s been 16 years since the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. I almost remember it like it was only a few years ago.
I was seven years old sitting in my second grade classroom in Queens, NY when it happened. I couldn’t really understand what was going on but everyone was sent home early and the footage of the Twin Towers, also known as the World Trade Center buildings, falling down kept replaying on every channel on the TV.
My parents tried to explain it to me. Seven-year-old Dana only wanted to know one thing: “What happens now?”
Back in 2015 I visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum where I saw this photograph of a Lower East Side mural by graffiti artist Chico. In it, Big Bird sits in a boat on the Hudson River, the Twin Towers and the rest of the skyline in the background as he holds U.S. flag with a bent stick. A heart with a crack down the middle appears in the foreground to the right of Big Bird.
The juxtaposition of a lighthearted children’s show character and the tragedy of 9/11 in this mural really hit home for me, as I was young when it all happened. Big Bird wasn’t the only one with a broken heart after those events.

This week we learned that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their third child, so I just HAVE to feature the royal couple for this week’s Fan Art Fridays!
Obviously I’m excited about this news, but some Brits aren’t
To celebrate, I found this life-like portrait of Will and Kate over on Deviant Art. Created by Soul of David (David Tercias) the digital piece was inspired by this photo of the two.
I just can’t get over how much hair William has lost since they started having children. Look at how full his hair was back then!

A few days ago, Eva Mendes alerted her fans via Instagram about a few new pieces that are now available from the Eva Mendes Collection at New York & Company.
In the photo, she wears one of the new dresses in the collection, a pleated velvet dress in a shade of light blue.
What I love most about this dress is how it fuses a fun look with the pleats together with a more serious velvet texture. You could easily wear this to any sort of function.
Below is the original dress (marked with *) and an alternative to help you copy this look.

The Whisper Box is taking Labor Day off! Gallery Mondays will return next week 🙂
Happy Labor Day!
Today, Zendaya Coleman turned 21! I honestly didn’t realize she wasn’t yet legal before.
Zendaya is one of my fave multiracial celebrities. I love her eclectic sense of style. It matches her personality so well.
Speaking of style in this piece of fan art by Alina that I found in a collection on Tumblr, Zendaya wears a white blazer with a black lapel, a chambray top and some gold bling. So classy.
I also adore that shade of pink lipstick on her!
If you haven’t already seen Zendaya in Spiderman: Homecoming, this is the perfect opportunity to do so over the Labor Day holiday weekend!
