Izabel Goulart was all pretty in pink today at the Venice Film Festival.
The Brazilian model wore a pink semi-sheer long sleeve dress, looking radiant as ever. I love how innocent the dress looks on her, as it shows off very little skin. Even though the dress is semi-sheer, Izabel still leaves something to our imaginations by choosing to wear a body suit underneath.
With this weird transition weather happening while it’s still technically summer, this is the perfect dress choice for a fancy dinner or party.
See below for two dresses inspired by the look.
1. Lulu’s, $78.00
2. GS Love, $27.99
During my trip to Puerto Rico, my friends and I visited Casa Blanca, the ancestral home of Juan Ponce de Leon, in Old San Juan.
In one of the rooms, there were a few colorful murals on the wall that really stood out to me. This one by Taller Coco de Oro in collaboration with Edgardo Larregui, native of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, was my fave.
I’m pretty sure the black and white portion of the portrait is an old photo of Juan Ponce de Leon and the rest is a top hat and blazer paired with a colorful beard of plantain. Also, peep the watermelon grin.
It’s basically a party in a portrait.
If you’re ever in Puerto Rico, I’d definitely recommend visiting Casa Blanca!
I’m convinced that this song is infectious.
Yesterday I learned that Sesame Street’s Ernie, Rosita, and Bert did their own version of Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi’s hit “Despacito”.
Yup. It’s called “El Patito.”
In lieu of this, let’s feast out eyes on these adorable chibi versions of Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi by Laura C Breezy (@lauracbreezy) on Instagram. She specializes in chibi celebrity fan art, some with anime eyes and others with human features. Although Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi take on the former, it’s insane how realistic the resemblance is!
And yes, I’m completely aware that I left the Canadian out of this post.
See the original fan art on Instagram and watch the Sesame Street version of “Despacito”!
This is how we do it down in Puerto Rico.
– Luis Fonsi, “Despacito”
As you may or may not know, I recently got back from a week-long trip with my friends to Puerto Rico, La Isla del Encanto! We stayed at Luis’ Condominio San Tropez Airbnb in Carolina and also spent some time in Old San Juan.
Our trip consisted of multiple visits to the beach, a Casa Bacardi Rum tour, a trek through El Yunque National Forest, delicious food, and pretty cocktails.
Of course, I took way too many photos for this diary, so here’s a curation of the best ones, organized by day, beginning on August 16 and ending on August 22:
Day 1: Hitting the beach after landing in Puerto Rico
Isla Verde Beach in Carolina, PR
Beach chillin’ with Kristell
Day 2: Casa Bacardi & Raices Restaurant
Fun Fact: I’m almost positive that 95% of cocktails made in Puerto Rico’s restaurants and bars contain Bacardi.
Sorry for the abrupt hiatus announcement last week. I was chillin’ on the beach in Puerto Rico (vacay photo diary ETA tomorrow evening) and I completely forgot to find some guest bloggers to take over while I was away.
Anyway, this week’s Wardrobe Wednesdays features our favorite Glee drama queen Rachel, played by Lea Michele. While in Brentwood a few days ago, the actress was spotted wearing a blue and white striped maxi dress with a white tote.
Somebody is testing Labor Day outfits early!
I just love how effortlessly summer this outfit is. It has a nice nautical feel and looks quite comfy.

We’re midway through the summer, and if you haven’t already gone on vacation, you’re probably going somewhere fun soon to escape work and all the stress of everyday life.
As with most things, traveling is so much fun when you’ve got great tunes to go along with you.
This year’s mid-summer playlist is music themed, with songs about different places around the world to feed your wanderlust soul.
I hope these 18 tracks take you on an unforgettable summer excursion.
1. Hollywood, RAC feat. Penguin Prison. Here’s to trying hard not to be that person while visiting the Land of Stars.
2. Hamburg, Kapekoff. “Together we’re alive.”
3. Michigan, Grammar. “In a heavy fever” indeed.
4. Chicago, Canon Blue. A song for those hot summer nights in Chicago.
5. Monterrey, TW Walsh. I bet you can “find a way to get to Monterrey”.
