Maren Morris showed up at the Billboard Women in Music award ceremony on December 9th looking head-to-toe comfy in a velvet suit.
The singer, who won Breakthrough Star at the event, paired her emerald green colored velvet suit with a black cut out crop top.
I can’t tell what part of this outfit I like more! I’m a huge fan of cut out crop tops (not on myself though), so I really love how fancy she made it look inside of the blazer.
Below is the original blazer (marked by *) and some other pieces inspired by this look.
1. Topshop, $125.00*
2. Tobi, $63.00
3. Woman Within, $34.99-39.99
4. The Clutcher, $316.00
5. Pink Queen, $7.80
6. Love Culture, $5.00
I went to the NJEA at the Atlantic City Convention Center in New Jersey again this year for work. I was super excited to see the student artwork there, and I wasn’t disappointed.
I saw this really great mixed media piece by Irving Adame from Haddon Township High School. As soon as I saw it, the galactic vibes reminded me of the song “Back to the Stars” by The Landing.
I love how the jar blends in with the space themed background and has words floating around in it like a snow globe. It’s like a jar made of star stuff (or dream stuff to be more accurate).
The first official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is out, and of course, everyone is losing their cool.
I’m really excited that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is in it (and Zendaya too!) , but I’m really missing Andrew Garfield 😥
Anyway, in celebration of the trailer, here’s some fan art I found of Spider-Man looking totes casual. He’s all, “nothing to see here, just a teenager in a hoodie.”
I can’t decipher the signature on the fan art, which is sad, because I’d love to give them a mention for credits!
See the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming below!
Guys, I’m totally drooling over that black gown Lady Gaga wore with rose print at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year.
It has this sort of edgy elegance to it that I just love. I don’t have too many long dresses in my closet, but this is something I’d totally buy if I came across it in a store.
Below are two dresses inspired by the look!
1. Unique Vintage, $72.00
2. Dezzal, $114.99
November 2016, man.
Anyway, a lot of awesome stuff happened in pop culture during November 2016 in spite of other terrible things that may or may not be worrying us about the future. So let’s just forget about those and enjoy my faves for the month.

1. “Stop Me” by Nick Murphy. I was having trouble understanding why the vocals sounded like Chet Faker and then I was like, mind blown.
Back in September, I was walking through NoLIta after buying tickets for a show at Mercury Lounge when I saw this golden statue on the Puck Building, known as the home of retail store REI.
When I first saw the statue, which is one of Shakespeare’s characters named Puck (hence the name of the building), I thought he was a cherub. Now I’m realizing that if he has wings, they’re not really visible. Would he even qualify as a fairy?
Do fairies need to have wings to be fairies?
Anyway, I do like that little tophat Puck has in this statue. I wonder if all of the building’s Puck statues are holding the same pose.
I guess I’ll have to go back there one day to have a look.
Lucifer‘s mid season finale was this week, and I can’t handle the fact that the show won’t be back until the middle of January 2017!
How could FOX do this to us?
Until then, let’s reminisce with this piece of fan art I found of Lucifer and Det. Decker on Deviant Art. It’s by La Mora and features the two in a warm embrace.
I can’t wait to see season 2B!
