My favorite character from the show is Tina Belcher, so of course all of the art featuring her caught my eye.
I especially loved this one called “Erotic Zombie Friend Fiction” by Stephen Andrade. She looks like such a teenager with that mini skirt! And check out that pose!
On the way to work this morning, I saw a guy dressed as the Big Bad Wolf in Grandma’s nightgown and I could not stop laughing to myself about it.
It got me thinking of my favorite fairy tales. One of my faves as a kid was Snow White, and I especially loved Mirror Mirror as an adult, starring Lily Collins and Julia Roberts.
I’m still a bit sick but I’m not letting it get in the way of Wardrobe Wednesdays.
Earlier this month, I ordered a yellow dress from Fabshopper.com in hopes of it getting here in time for the Halloween party I’m going to on Friday, October 28th. Long story short, it’s not getting here in time for the party OR Halloween night.
So I can’t be Beyoncé for Halloween 😥
But enough of my woes. If you want to pull off Beyoncé’s Lemonade look from the music video “Hold Up” this Halloween, you can totally order one of the two yellow dresses below and get it by October 31st. And don’t forget the bat!
You don’t understand the amount of excited I am for this!
If Victoria’s personal style is any indication of what’s in store for the collection, I’ll have to control myself when I see the clothing. Like, DO NOT LET ME BUY MORE THAN 1 OR 2 PIECES.
In celebration of this news, I’ve decided to feature this amazing fan art of Victoria Beckham by Davii Honorato. I can’t get over how sassy her hair looks in the sketch. And wowza, those are some gorgeous cheekbones!
Our Boho Queen Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at the 7th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in LA looking absolutely radiant in a white scallop lace dress.
She completed the look with a pair of wine red platform sandals and a braided crown hairdo. Her cheeks looked blushed up with a rose pink tint as well.
I’ve never worn a white lace dress before, but if I ever do, I’ll be turning to Vanessa for some inspiration.
Below is the original dress (marked with *) and some similar items to help you steal this super cute boho look.
Last week, I visited the Rubin Museum downtown with Niketa during K2 Lounge Fridays. It was too cool!
I waited for Niketa in the museum’s gift shop, where I ended up acquiring some new post cards for my walls. When she arrived she bought a bracelet and fragrant soap.
After our little shopping spree, we sat down at K2 Lounge and decided to order spicy lamb meatballs and two glasses of Riesling wine. I’d never had lamb before but I actually really liked it.
Meanwhile, DJ Shishi was at the turn table spinning what one visitor claimed to be “remixes of popular Indian music.” He also played some Darius and AlunaGeorge.
In the galleries we discovered these amazing copper sculptures of Buddhist deities. No matter which floor we wound up on, I was drawn to each depiction of Tara in the exhibits. There was just something about her.
The photo of Tara above was made of gilt copper alloy in Nepal. She’s got amazing posture, doesn’t she?
It’s that time of the year again when the leaves start to dry up and fall off the trees, leaving your favorite parks covered in crunchy yet colorful landscapes.

The comedian had a very big week with the release of his film What Now? hitting the theaters today. The last movie I saw Kevin Hart in was Get Hard, and it was even more hilarious than it normally would have been because I caught it on HBO Latino.
Yeah. Imagine Kevin Hart dubbed oven in Spanish.
In honor of Kevin Hart’s new star and film, today’s Fan Art Fridays is a color pencil drawing of the comedian by @vfj87_artist on Instagram. It’s so Kevin Hart of him to hold the microphone upside down like that.
Kevin Hart proves that the best things come in fun-sized packages.
I wanted an excuse to see Karina’s schnauzer Lou Lou last week so I bought two medium sized pumpkins at Lowe’s in Chelsea and hauled them all the way to Queens.
I already knew I wanted to carve an emoji on my pumpkin, but Karina was undecided. She saw a few cool patterned carvings online but realized she wouldn’t have the patience to carve that many holes into the pumpkin to create her design.
So we cranked some Roosevelt tunes while she took a drill to it.
I had a bit of trouble getting the pumpkin guts out of mine, but Karina had no problem stepping in to rake them out with a fork.
It was fairly easy to draw the emoji on my pumpkin to carve out the shapes. After we put the small tealights into the pumpkins, Karina realized she needed to puncture her holes deeper in order to see the lights.
Overall they turned out pretty well! Mine is molding now because I wasn’t aware that I had to bleach the pumpkin to preserve it. Karina had the right idea by not making the holes too big because if her’s molds you won’t notice. I’m hoping it’ll make it to Halloween anyway.
And there you have it: The heart face emoji falls in love with the disco ball.
