Back in March when I visited Austin, Texas, I dropped by The Contemporary Austin to check out some art. The exhibit on view at the time was Mark Mothersbaugh’s ‘Myopia.’
My favorite part of the exhibit was the room filled with albums upon albums of pop art. Each card in the 4-section albums come across as a scene, and each album appears as its own mini drama.
Above is my favorite album. The card on the top right corner strikes me as most heart-wrenching because of the way the woman’s head is bowed down in deep thought over whatever had happened in the scene before.

I can’t believe his term is almost over!
Yesterday, August 4th, President Barack Obama turned 55! He’s getting gray but he still looks pretty good for 55.
Over on Elite Daily there’s a story about this little girl who cried about the fact that Obama’s term is ending. I feel her.
There’s also this hilarious video of Joe Biden and Obama. It’s great. I’m really going to miss them both when January 2017 rolls around.
Check out this really cool dollar bill with some fan art of Obama on it. Can these get printed once his term is over? I’d like to keep one for my collection.
As I’ve stated in previous Wardrobe Wednesdays posts centered on award shows, I love it when celebs show up wearing the simplest things that look super elegant and chic on them.
Because no one wants to be sitting in an auditorium space for hours waiting in uncomfortably sophisticated clothing to be called for an award you might get nothing more than a nomination for.
Jennifer Garner accepted the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie: Drama for the film Miracles from Heaven alongside costar Kiley Rogers on Sunday wearing this gorgeous black Maison Margiela strapless jumpsuit with buttons. She completed the look with some David Webb earrings and a bangle.
The wide leg on the jumpsuit makes the look appear polished and well put together, in my opinion. The jewels are also a very nice compliment to the outfit.
You can find the original jumpsuit at Barneys (marked with *). Below are also some alternatives to the jumpsuit and the jewelry.
1. White House Black Market, $160.00
2. Barneys, $2,090.00 *
3. HomeBello, $107.00
4. Go Navajo, $420.00
5. Nordstrom, $65.00
6. Rakuten, $39.99
A few weeks ago I was walking down Steinway Street in Astoria with my friends and I saw this lovely multi-color street art mural of Audrey Hepburn.
The amount of trucks that passed by while I was trying to take this photo is absolutely maddening.
Anyway, if you’re passing by Steinway Thrift Shop near the Steinway station, look up and say hello to Audrey Hepburn. She’s sure to make your day.
