Wardrobe Wednesdays: Emily Ratajkowski @ CFDA Fashion Awards 2016

Emily Ratajkowski, CFDA Fashion Awards 2016

You know it’s serious when you can show up to the CFDA Fashion Awards in a slip and still turn heads. Yes, Emily Ratajkowski, we’re drooling over looking at you.

The actress and model showed up to the CFDA Fashion Awards 2016 on Monday in a custom made Jason Wu black slip gown paired with a wine red box clutch.

Basically LBD: Reloaded.

Unfortunately, the dress was custom made, so unless you’re buddies with Jason Wu you won’t find this exact gown anywhere. However, below are some alternatives to the dress and box clutch.

Dress:

1. Saks Fifth Avenue, $204.00

2. ASOS, $33.50

Clutch:

3. GILT, $289.00

4. Mimi & Thomas, £22.95 ($33.39 USD)

Photo Diary: 7 Days in Niagara Falls, CA

IMAG5070

From May 27th to June 2nd, I visited Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. Yes, I’m crossing one off my 30 Before 30 list, because I’ve finally visited a foreign country!

I went with the ‘rents, who decided to take the 7 hour drive up there from NYC. Thankfully, I’m not a kid anymore, so I didn’t keep asking if we were there yet, but jeez, that was the longest ride!

Having only seen Niagara Falls in pictures, seeing the falls in person literally took my breath away. Majestic doesn’t even begin to describe the scene.

That's my "I can't believe I'm actually in Niagara Falls" face.

Behind my mom and I is the beautiful American Falls. That’s my “I can’t believe I’m actually in Niagara Falls” face.

Here’s a rather lengthy photo diary of my time in Canada:

Day 1 – May 27th: Crossing the border into Canada, seeing the Falls for the first time, and Clifton Hill at night

Gallery Mondays: ‘Unbranded: A Century of White Women, 1915-2015’

1958 Unbranded: A Century of White Women Hank Willis Thomas

I just got back to New York after a week of vacation, and I’m going to be really honest: I wish I’d stayed longer.

I love NYC and all, but the city stresses are already creeping back onto me.

However, looking at this piece from Hank Willis Thomas’ Unbranded: A Century of White Women reminds me that someday soon I’ll be on a beach somewhere sipping on something delicious like this 1958 blondie.

Soon.

Oh, and if you’re wondering where I went, you can find out tomorrow here.

Fan Art Fridays: Britney Spears

britney spears fan art

Early this Friday morning, Britney Spears tweeted a photo of herself surrounded by 16 men on the set of the upcoming music video for her new single “Make Me (Oooh)” featuring G-Eazy.

A few hours later, E! reported that the music video will most likely be out in July, and there’s also a new Britney album on the way for fall 2016.

Stop. Wait. I haven’t even listened to Britney Jean yet! (I know, I know. Shame on me. What have you been doing for the last 3 years, Dana?!)

In celebration of this phenomenal news, I’ve decided to feature this amazing fan art of Britney by Natalie Cunial (you might remember her from Big Brother 9). I found it in a Pinterest board filled with Britney Spears fan art, and this painting stood out to me the most because of its warm color palette.

View the original fan art here and check out more of Natalie Cunial’s paintings at www.artbynatalie.com.

Wardrobe Wednesdays: Eva Longoria’s Wedding Dress

Eva Longoria's Wedding Dress

It’s wedding season, and seeing Eva Longoria’s wedding dress, designed by Victoria Beckham, is the perfect way to start it off.

She got married to José Antonio Bastón in Mexico on May 21st. The floor length dress is super simple and stunning with a sweetheart neckline and cami straps. I’d even go as far to say that you could wear this dress for any upscale event where the dress code requires a gown.

The original Victoria Beckham dress, which goes for upwards of € 3,000 (over $3,500 USD!) is listed below along with a cheaper option if you’re willing to test those waters.

Dress:

1. mytheresa.com, € 3,200

2. DHgate, $115.86-131.75

Congrats to Eva Longoria and José Antonio Bastón!
